Construction

Construction began on February 15th, 2010 with the purchase of a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood that I laid on my basement floor. Using paper track templates from Atlas, I traced out my planned track layout to ensure a good fit. I then quickly got to work building my benchwork table and my layout.

Three years later in February 2013, my layout was finally completed. Looking back, I never imagined it would turn out the way it did, especially for my very first attempt at a model railroad layout. The skills and knowledge that I gained through the construction process are invaluable and I look forward to growing upon and applying these skills on future projects.
